Important News on Hermie and Poppenfresh

You can read about it in the link above.

So, I finally decided to upload my original audio comedy, The Fucked Up Escapades of Hermie and Poppenfresh (aka Hermie and Poppenfresh) onto Newgrounds with the first episode: Candy Butts Galore.

You can check the first part here:

So, I've been trying to audition for new projects ever since I got my rough draft of the script. However, I've been noticing now how much the quality of the recording has really been suffering. In the past, my louder moments never peaked, and yet when I hear them while I'm mixing them, they sound............bad. Really bad. I don't know if it has to do with my microphone, my multimixer, my microphone cord or my mixcraft mixing software. So, I've been in a funk with this scenario at the moment. It's been like this ever since I got my laptop repaired. So, if anyone has any suggestions for perhaps a new microphone, a preamp for either the new microphone or the one I currently have, or just some mixing tips with Mixcraft, that would be awesome.

I currently have the following:

Studio Projects C1 Condenser Microphone
Alesis Multimix 8 USB FX Mixer
Mixcraft 5.2
Audacity (for noise removal)

It sorta sucks that right now my audio quality for my recordings as of late seem to have downgraded. This won't do for any new jobs indeed. So, until then, if anyone happens to know some good tidbits on how to mix professional audio quality on Mixcraft 5 (or even Audacity if there's no other option), then feel free to spread the word.

Guide to the Introverted Comic Dub

So, I'm a big introvert, and mixing that with Asperger's Syndrome doesn't make for much happy, fun times. However, when I came across this comic from Schroeder Jones on Deviantart, I had to dub it. Heidi (aka AderuMoro) offered to lend her voice for some small lines. It was a treat to do.

Make sure to check out the original comic here: http://browse.deviantart.com/art/How-to-Live-wit h-Introverts-291305760

Also, here's AderuMoro's Newgrounds account. She's a feisty talent: http://aderumoro.newgrounds.com/

First off, I have claimed my Internet again. Huzzah for that.

But the main reason I'm writing this is because I noticed something while looking through my audio submissions.

The Newgrounds Voice Acting Contest 10 wasn't the first one I entered into as a voice actor. I submitted a very last minute entry to last year's contest called Hoarder Cleaning. It had pitiful mixing, an improvised script with a lack in focus, subpar voice acting and acting in general, and many other things. Yet, I immediately noticed that this entry beats my "A Night To Remember" entry in terms of downloads, listens, and even overall score.

.............What? What? WHAT?

Seriously, I hope people don't find "Hoarder Cleaning" to be better than "A Night to Remember". XD That former one is a travesty. I linked both of them at the very bottom. I'm VERY interested in knowing which one you prefer and why. XD

Well, this is really great. As I am typing this new update, I am in a different location with free Wi-Fi since my home no longer has Internet access at this time. I was just browsing the web with ease yesterday when it suddenly cut off and I couldn't log back in. Apparently Comcast updated their high-speed Internet with faster speeds, so I had no choice but to get a new modem and router to accommodate this since now they considered my past gear to be completely obsolete. However, despite getting the new gear, I still couldn't get online since my router couldn't verify my Internet connection even with my modem fully activated. I tried calling them about it, but since my name isn't on the account (it's my parents), I couldn't get any help from them. So, for those whom have been wanting to talk with me online (which I can see are none), I'm sorry. For those that have been asking for recordings for their voice acting projects, I just sent them, but if you are in need of any re-dos, I can still record, but I won't be able to send them until either my Internet is fixed or I go to a location with free Wi-Fi. Until then, I remain without Internet access.

So, the moment had finally arrived. The Voice Acting Contest 10 results are now revealed in the form of animation. I will be saying spoilers about how I ranked, so if you want to see for yourself, click on the link and watch it for yourself. Or you can just skip past all this space and see how I fared.

Voice Acting Contest 10 Animation

*SPOILERS*

I was nominated for best audio mixing and best character fit. Then, out of nowhere, Ricepirate is the presenter of the last award before the big reveal, which is for best acting, and he makes fun of my username.......BEST DAY EVER!!!!! Not only that, but I actually won that award. Bigger shock is that I won 4TH PLACE OVERALL! I will say that I did NOT expect to be amongst the big winners AT ALL, so this moment really took me by surprise. I may not have won any money, but they say that I'll be getting a groovy front page. What that will look like, I'm not sure. Nevertheless, I want to thank jashinya for making me a part of this awesome, Rice Pirate for being a part of the judging crew and making fun of my name in douche style, and FoxPirate715 for doing this awesome animation. Also, congratulations to Himynameisjacob, Benjadaninja, and ZipZipper for winning above me and gaining some grand dollars and recognition.

At this moment, my project hasn't been going well and has hardly found an audience. It could just be because it's an audio show and that's mostly a dying artform these days, but if anyone happens to listen to this and happen to list their opinions on it, it would be greatly appreciated.

If I do another episode, it would probably be half the length of the first, but if there's anything else, let me know. I truly want this to go somewhere, but any suggestions or tid-bits would always be appreciated. Thank you kindly. I don't expect much since this episode is slowly decaying, but I hope to be wrong.

Here's a link to the first part of the original project in the meantime: Hermie and Poppenfresh (Part One) Uncensored

I have decided to slim my show to three parts. Here's part one to view. You're welcome...........maybe.
